HandForceAR
AR/VR prototypes that help stroke patients rebuild hand strength using HoloLens and Quest.
2024 · Team of 6
A Unity-based AR/VR game prototype developed to support stroke patients in rebuilding hand strength and dexterity through engaging therapeutic exercises. The project was commissioned by the HandForce group, an organization focused on improving rehabilitation outcomes for stroke survivors by supporting hand and motor recovery.
The prototype was developed during the Fontys BeCreative semester in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of six students, not all of whom were developers. We created versions for both Microsoft HoloLens and Oculus Quest, exploring how mixed reality and virtual reality could be used to guide and motivate patients during therapy sessions.
